Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a Practice Area Lead to drive content strategy and portfolio development. The role oversees author management, content acquisition, and collaboration with editorial teams to ensure accuracy, currency and relevance.

The successful candidate will manage author relationships, commissioning and succession planning, while coordinating with product and sales teams to align content with roadmaps and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in law preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills, legal research ability, and tech-savvy.
• Business and commercial acumen advantageous.
• Experience with publishing workflow from idea to delivery.
• Commissioning or commercial management experience advantageous.
• Understanding of legal professionals and legal practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship management.
• Experience in project management and tight deadlines.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Commission new authors and content relevant to the practice area.
• Decommission authors and plan succession.
• Ensure timely delivery of content from authors.
• Provide data for product development and strategy.
• Assist product managers with reviews and reports.
• Edit manuscripts for accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with teams and customers to implement process improvements.
• Build relationships with colleagues and customers to execute roadmaps.
