Job summary

Cummins in Malaysia seeks a Power Generation Application Engineer to join our team in Puchong. This onsite with flexibility role focuses on serving as the senior technical liaison between OEMs, applying Cummins products to customer vehicles, and delivering high-performance, cost-effective solutions.

You will collaborate with sales and marketing to implement new designs, support product selections, and ensure installations meet customer system requirements in various applications.

Responsibilities

• Obtain input from SMEs and VPI teams and deliver product data and installation requirements to AEs and OEMs.
• Support processes like Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration using COLS and GCE.
• Build strong relationships with customer technical counterparts as the primary liaison for technical information and change requests.
• Apply technical knowledge to support OEM product selection and equipment design.
• Translate customer needs into functional product requirements for new product development and change processes.
• Validate prototype performance and ensure installations meet Cummins requirements.
• Lead small process improvements and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Coordinate work across technicians and student staff as needed.
