Job summary

ThunderSoft in Malaysia, Penang, is seeking a Post-silicon Execution Engineer to validate best known configurations from firmware to OS levels. The role requires hands-on hardware setup, BIOS installation, and OS validation with strong English communication.

You will execute manual and automated regression tests, triage failures, generate status reports, and maintain lab inventory. Fresh graduates with under seven years of post-silicon experience are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PC architecture and familiarity with modern x86 microprocessor architecture is highly preferred.
• Skilled in executing both manual and automated regression testing for system-level validation test cases.
• Capable of creating regression indicators/status reports to convey validation results.
• Ability to triage regression failures.
• Proficient in using hardware debugging equipment such as protocol analyzers or oscilloscopes.
• Competent in setting up SUT for validation, including hardware installation such as CPU, DIMM, NIC, etc.
• Experienced in BIOS installation and Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Skilled in maintaining and monitoring SUT health.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Fresh Graduates or candidates with < 7 years of experience in post silicon validation and debug.

Responsibilities

• Validate Post-Silicon Best Known Configurations to ensure system recipe and stability from firmware up to OS levels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for execution and triage of validation results.
• Execute regression tests, both manual and automated, for system-level validation.
• Create regression indicators and status reports to communicate results; triage failures.
• Set up and operate test hardware (SUT) including CPU, DIMM, NIC; perform BIOS installs.
• Maintain lab inventory and ensure proper lab organization.
• Communicate clearly in English; work with minimal supervision.

The individual will collaborate with various stakeholders for execution and triage.

Required Experience:
