Job summary

Bintulu Port is looking for a civil engineer to lead planning, design, execution, and coordination of port development projects. You will ensure compliance with design specs, safety regulations, quality standards, and timelines.

Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, tender docs, schedules, and progress reports, overseeing civil disciplines, and ensuring proper documentation for future maintenance. Strong communication and safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience; consultancy experience adds value
• Proficient in civil engineering principles and practices
• Skilled in AutoCAD and other engineering software
• Familiarity with safety regulations (CIDB/DOE/DOSH)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Quality control and assurance expertise
• Understanding of regulatory compliance processes
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, and coordinate civil engineering aspects for port development projects
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, tender documents, technical specs, schedules, and progress reports
• Oversee civil disciplines, ensuring design, installation, and execution meet standards and safety requirements
• Document projects with as-built drawings and related technical documents for record-keeping and maintenance
