Job summary

ExxonMobil in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with at least five years of experience in Polyolefins, Butyl or Elastomers to join our Polymers Process Engineering group. The role is based in Kuala Lumpur and may involve international travel; you will lead process engineering improvement initiatives and develop tools for polymer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with experience in Polyolefins/Butyl/Elastomers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Innovative and analytical thinking.
• Experience in multi-cultural global teams.
• Five years of relevant process experience in polymers.
• Hands-on experience in process modelling/simulation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering improvement initiatives for Polyolefins, Butyl and Elastomer processes.
• Develop robust tools for process modeling and optimization across polymer sites.
• Enhance efficiency and reliability of finishing processes and support plant trials.
• Guide manufacturing asset improvements and design basis development.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and stay current with simulation tools.
