Job summary

ExxonMobil in Malaysia seeks a Process Safety Engineer to join Kuala Lumpur’s Process Safety Department. You will lead process safety engineering, conduct hazard analyses, and drive risk management across facilities worldwide.

Responsibilities include implementing safety standards, guiding design reviews, and mentoring teams across borders while ensuring safe, reliable operations and alignment with business priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in petrochemical/oil & gas with 3+ years in process safety.
• Experience with hazard identification, risk analyses and PHA methods.
• Familiar with industry codes (ASME/API/NFPA/ANSI/IEC).
• Proficient in PHAST, PHA-Pro, Hysys and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety engineering across projects and facilities.
• Conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments and consequence modelling.
• Implement safety in design standards and review changes.
• Facilitate HAZOP studies and project deliverables.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative risk screenings.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship globally.
