Responsibilities

• Production Management: Plan, organize, and supervise daily latex processing operations.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality and coordinate with QC/QA for testing.
• Raw Material & Inventory Management: Monitor usage of latex, chemicals; coordinate procurement.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning of processing equipment; supervise staff.
• HSE: Ensure safety standards in handling chemicals and latex; PPE usage.
• Cost Control: Monitor and reduce production costs; improve yield.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain production records and reports; ensure ISO compliance.

POSITION: Natural Latex & Synthetic Polymer Process Manager (Extrution)

INDUSTRY: MANUFACTURE OF RUBBER & PLASTICS PRODUCT

JOB FUNCTION : PROCESS ENGINEER

SALARY : RM 7,500

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Education: Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Technology, Rubber Technology or Equivalent
• Employment status: Permanent
• Working hours: Normal Hours
• Work experience: 2-5 years

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

1. Production Management

* Plan, organize, and supervise daily latex processing operations.

* Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower, and raw materials.

* Monitor production targets and ensure timely achievement.

2. Process Control & Optimization

* Control formulation and compounding (e.g., sulfur systems, accelerators like TMTD, DPTT, antioxidants, stabilizers).

* Optimize parameters such as temperature, pH, viscosity, and curing cycles.

* Improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance process efficiency.

3. Quality Assurance

* Ensure product quality meets specifications and customer requirements.

* Coordinate with QC/QA team for testing (tensile strength, elongation, modulus, etc.).

* Troubleshoot defects in latex products (threads, gloves, foam, etc.).

4. Raw Material & Inventory Management

* Monitor usage of natural latex, synthetic latex (e.g., NBR, SBR), and chemicals.

* Ensure proper storage and handling of latex and compounding ingredients.

* Coordinate procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking.

5. Equipment & Maintenance

* Ensure proper functioning of processing equipment (mixers, tanks, extruders, dryers, curing ovens).

* Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.

* Supervise operators, technicians, and supervisors.

* Train staff on process standards, safety, and quality procedures.

* Improve workforce productivity and discipline.

7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

* Ensure compliance with safety standards in handling chemicals and latex.

* Implement safe work practices and PPE usage.

* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (effluent treatment, emissions).

8. Cost Control

* Monitor and reduce production costs (energy, chemicals, waste).

* Improve yield and minimize rejection rates.

9. Documentation & Reporting

* Maintain production records, batch sheets, and process logs.

* Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management.

* Ensure compliance with ISO or other quality systems.
