Job summary

MRANTI in Malaysia seeks a Project Associate to support the Policy & Sustainability function through research, documentation, coordination and administrative assistance. The role focuses on providing analytical and operational support to policy initiatives, sustainability programmes, and stakeholder engagements under the guidance of the Manager and Senior Manager.

The successful candidate will conduct research, gather data on ESG priorities, and contribute to briefs, reports and internal papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field; graduates in policy, sustainability, environmental studies, science & technology are encouraged.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; internship or project experience is a plus.
• Interest in policy research, sustainability, ESG, and innovation; ability to research and present findings clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports and presentations.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Team player; able to engage with government, industry, academia, and other partners.
• Basic understanding of sustainability concepts and willingness to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured research and basic analysis on policy developments related to science, technology, innovation, and sustainability.
• Support data collection related to ESG priorities and policy development and management.
• Assist in preparing briefs, reports, presentations, and internal papers for MRANTI Sustainability Committees.
• Support documentation and record-keeping of engagements, meetings, and stakeholder interactions.
• Coordinate logistics and materials for meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
• Assist in tracking action items, timelines, and deliverables for ongoing policy and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare draft correspondence, minutes of meetings, and internal communications as required.
• Provide general administrative and ad-hoc support to the Manager and Senior Manager.
