Job summary

Intel in Malaysia is seeking a contract maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and routine PM activities on production equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, dismantling, reassembling, and calibrating hardware, with support from Engineering for experiments and configuration changes.

The candidate will contribute to data collection, report generation, and PM procedure updates while ensuring compliance and tool availability during ramps.

Qualifications

• Diploma required in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics.
• 1 year of relevant maintenance experience preferred; fresh graduates may apply.
• Willingness to work shifts and OT as needed; ability to stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Execute PM routines including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and replacement of wear parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues to diagnose problems in manufacturing equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and install equipment according to layouts and manuals.
• Coordinate with suppliers for service and repairs when needed and participate in PM readiness.
• Create PM reports and logs, update PM specs, and contribute to maintenance procedures.
