Job summary

Micron Technology in Malaysia (Penang, Batu Kawan) is seeking a Test Equipment Technician responsible for installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. You will sustain and improve KPI performance through continuous improvement activities, supporting ramp-up and troubleshooting on test equipment.

Responsibilities include transfer/setup/buy-off, uptime maintenance, PMs, conversions, parts/tools management, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting in the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical engineering or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Some understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes will be added.
• A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leveraging AI tools to retrieve technical information and support troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up.
• Sustain equipment uptime with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan.
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion.
• Manage spare parts, tools, and meters.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing processes.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per layouts and manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
