About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PLC Engineer to lead automation system development, machine commissioning, and technical support activities. The ideal candidate shall possess strong experience in PLC programming, electrical control system design, robot integration, and industrial automation projects.
The candidate must be proficient in Mitsubishi PLC, Keyence PLC, HMI development, servo motion control, electrical schematic design, and robot/cobot integration. This role requires hands‑on involvement from machine concept development through FAT, SAT, installation, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
PLC & Automation Programming
- Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs using: Mitsubishi PLC (FX, Q, iQ-R Series) and Keyence PLC (KV Series)
- Develop and maintain HMI applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including: CC-Link, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, TCP/IP Communication.
- Develop machine control logic, alarm handling, safety interlocks, and motion sequences.
- Optimize machine cycle time and system performance.
Electrical Design
- Design electrical control systems and machine control architecture.
- Prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent software.
- Generate: Electrical Schematics, Control Panel Layouts, I/O Lists, Wiring Diagrams, BOM (Bill of Materials), Support electrical panel fabrication and machine wiring activities.
Robot Integration
- Integrate industrial robots and collaborative robots into automation systems.
- Develop robot communication with PLC systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot robot vision, motion, and safety functions.
- Support robot teaching, path optimization, and commissioning.
Project Execution & Commissioning
- Participate in machine concept discussions and design reviews.
- Conduct machine debugging, FAT, SAT, and customer acceptance activities.
- Provide onsite installation and commissioning support.
- Conduct customer operator and maintenance training.
- Prepare technical documentation and backup procedures.
Experience Required: Min 5 Year/s
