Job summary

Exceptional Mould Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a skilled Mould Designer to design plastic injection moulds based on customer drawings and product requirements.

You will prepare complete 2D and 3D mould designs, create core, cavity, inserts, sliders and related components, and produce detailed fabrication drawings.

Collaborate with CNC/EDM teams, support mould trials, and ensure designs meet specifications, with BOM and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Plastic Injection Mould Design/Tooling.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of core, cavity, sliders, lifters, cooling and ejection systems.

Responsibilities

• Design plastic injection moulds based on customer drawings and product requirements.
• Prepare complete 2D and 3D mould designs for manufacturing.
• Create mould components like cores, cavities, inserts, sliders, lifters.
• Prepare detailed drawings for fabrication and machining.
• Review drawings to identify tooling issues before fabrication.
• Collaborate with CNC, EDM, wire-cut, mould assembly and production teams.
• Support mould trials, troubleshoot, and apply design improvements.
• Prepare BOM and technical documentation.
