Omya in Simpang Pulai, Malaysia, is seeking a Plant Operator-Warehouse for a full-time, on-site role. You will load and unload materials, operate forklifts and packing machines, and assist maintenance while ensuring accurate batch records and inventory checks.

The position requires STM/STPM level education, at least 1 year of related experience, and the ability to work shifts with overtime. Local language fluency and safety-consciousness are essential.

Plant Operator-Warehouse at Omya in Simpang Pulai, M08, MY

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

Load goods/products into containers for export delivery and into lorries for domestic delivery.
Unload incoming raw materials from lorries into the warehouse.
Complete forklift and packing machine checklists before use and record equipment condition.
Assist maintenance teams in repairing and checking machine breakdowns.
Record batch numbers before dispatch, rework damaged packaging, and transfer products to the finished goods area.
Monitor lab results for product quality and report any non-conformities to supervisors for corrective action.
Maintain accurate records of packing tonnage and perform regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Job Requirements

SPM or Vocational qualification. Minimum 1 year of experience in packaging, loading, or operating industrial equipment. Skilled in handling forklifts, packing machines, and mobile equipment; basic mechanical troubleshooting ability is essential. Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments involving lifting, climbing, and operating machinery. Computer literate with basic knowledge of Main tracker, Lotus Notes, and industrial PLC systems. Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to changing operational needs. Able to work any shift, including overtime, with excellent command of the local language.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
