Job summary

Omya in Simpang Pulai, Malaysia, is hiring a Plant Operator-Packing and Loading on a full-time, on-site basis. You will load goods into containers and lorries, operate forklifts and packing machines, and maintain accurate packing records.

The role requires SPM/STM or Vocational qualification and at least 1 year of packaging experience. Candidates should be physically fit, able to work shifts with overtime, and have basic PLC/Lotus Notes knowledge.

Qualifications

Requires SPM or Vocational qualification.
Minimum 1 year of experience in packaging, loading, or operating industrial equipment.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability.
Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments with lifting and operating machinery.
Computer literate with basic knowledge of Main tracker, Lotus Notes, and industrial PLC systems.
Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to changing operational needs.
Able to work any shift, including overtime, with excellent command of the local language.

Responsibilities

Load goods/products into containers for export and into lorries for domestic delivery.
Unload incoming raw materials from lorries into the warehouse.
Complete forklift and packing machine checklists before use and record equipment condition.
Assist maintenance teams in repairing and checking machine breakdowns.
Record batch numbers before dispatch and transfer products to finished goods area.
Monitor lab results for product quality and report non-conformities.
Maintain accurate records of packing tonnage and perform regular stock counts.
