Job summary

MVC Resources in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Production Planner to oversee production and material planning, aligning schedules with customer demand and delivery commitments.

You will develop and monitor production plans, capacity planning, and material requirements to ensure optimal resource utilization, while coordinating with Procurement, Warehouse, Production and Sales for timely material availability and smooth flow. The role emphasizes team leadership and KPI-driven process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, MRP, demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall production and material planning activities to ensure production schedules are aligned with customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Develop and monitor production plans, capacity planning, and material requirements to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Sales teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth production flow.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to minimise shortages, excess stock, and inventory holding costs.
• Analyse demand forecasts, production capacity, and supply constraints to identify potential bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and develop the planning team, drive continuous improvement, and monitor planning KPIs to improve operational efficiency and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in electronics, electrical, power supply, or semiconductor manufacturing will be an added advantage.
  
• Strong knowledge of production planning, MRP, demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  
• Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
