Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for an experienced supply chain planner to lead the Planning Team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong knowledge of ERP systems like Business Central. Responsibilities include managing supply chain planning, collaborating with stakeholders, and monitoring demand/supply plans to ensure efficiency. Excellent communication skills in English are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Business Central or related ERP systems.
• Experience in production planning, control, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Strong English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Planning Team to meet customer orders and production plans.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain planning across sites.
• Implement supply chain planning strategy for the organization.
• Monitor demand/supply plans for accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement planning strategies and create inventory build plans to handle forecast demand.

Job description

You will be responsible for leading the Planning Team to plan & purchase the right materials in-time to meet Customer Orders, production plans, and new-product-introduction requirements and to control and reduce materials holding inventory continuously avoid/reduce obsolescence materials cost for phase-out products.

You will also be responsible for the total alignment for planning & purchasing functions across the production sites.

Job responsibilities:

• Collaboration with cross functional stakeholders through forward planning and identification of all possible opportunities and risks with the mitigation plans.
• Manage end to end supply chain planning across sites, to align with customers demands.
• Implement the supply chain planning strategy for the organization and improve mechanisms needed to create solutions and inventory build plans to handle forecast demand plan.
• Execute tactical business decisions in close cooperation with all cross functional stakeholders regarding inventory targets and order fulfilment, including all operating sites.
• Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of demand/supply plans in terms of accuracy, timeliness, co-ordination, and communication, accomplished through facilitation and alignment.

Job requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Business Central or related ERP systems.
• Experience in production planning & control / forecasting / inventory management.
• Possess strong communication in both written and verbal English, presentation and interpersonal skills.
