Job summary

Kanry Search in Malaysia's Iskandar Puteri seeks a Production/Demand Planner to manage assigned customer accounts and translate demand into Master Production Schedules (MPS) for finished goods, sub-assemblies and raw materials.

You will review forecasts weekly, ensure timely delivery commitments, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and production performance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
• Experience in production planning, material planning, demand planning, customer planning or supply chain planning within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), production planning, inventory control and customer forecast management.
• Ability to analyse forecasts, actual consumption, production capacity, material availability and inventory requirements.
• Familiar with Days of Inventory, aging stock, excess and obsolete inventory, and End-of-Life material management.
• Experience coordinating customer orders, shipment schedules, ETD and ETA updates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; comfortable with planning data and reports.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts and work towards achieving 100% on-time delivery while maintaining healthy inventory and Days of Inventory (DOI).
• Review customer forecasts, demand requirements and delivery schedules on a weekly basis.
• Provide customers with accurate and timely delivery commitments.
• Translate customer demand into Master Production Schedules (MPS) covering finished goods, sub-assemblies and raw materials.
• Compare customer forecasts against actual consumption and revise production plans when demand patterns change.
• Monitor production performance against the MPS and coordinate recovery plans when output falls behind schedule.
• Identify and address significant demand fluctuations, supply shortages and inventory conditions.
• Coordinate with Production, Operations, Sales and other departments to ensure materials, capacity and finished goods are available.
• Monitor inventory levels, aging stock, excess materials and abnormal inventory build-up.
• Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and prepare accurate planning and inventory reports.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related discipline

Relevant experience in production planning, material planning, demand planning, customer planning or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment

Good understanding of Master Production Scheduling, production planning, inventory control and customer forecast management

Able to analyse forecasts, actual consumption, production capacity, material availability and inventory requirements

Familiar with Days of Inventory, aging stock, excess and obsolete inventory, and End-of-Life material management

Experience coordinating customer orders, shipment schedules, ETD and ETA updates

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with planning data and reports

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities

Able to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams

Capable of working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and responding quickly to demand or supply changes
