Robert Bosch (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Planner / Senior Planner (Customer Order Planning) to coordinate orders, manage production scheduling, and ensure on-time delivery across the value stream.
You will analyze demand, align with procurement, prepare production plans using SAP/MRP, and lead improvement initiatives with the Bosch Production System.

1. Responsible as main interface with EDL counterpart and customer with effective coordination internally in
addressing issues.
2. Responsible on managing customer orders for complex projects from start to delivery. Ensure smooth
coordination with all relevant stakeholders and operations.
3. Analyze sales forecast with sales team.
4. Analyze customer demand and customer pull pattern for inventory control at plant and external warehouse
a. Minimize overhanging materials.
b. Maintain, check and ensure accuracy of demand loading in SAP for MRP run to fulfill customer
requirement based on priority.
5. Prepare production schedule with the objective of:
a. BPS principles
b. Meeting customers’ demands and achieving 100% daily attainment
c. Optimizing utilization of manufacturing resources (e.g. minimizing set-up or conversion losses)
d. Controlling inventory accuracy
e. Tracking daily schedule vs. production actual output
6. Attend Daily Leadership Routine (DLR) on order fulfillment, critical supply materials and operation related.
7. Coordinate raw material issues with LOP Procurement Planner in affected Value Stream & SMT Value
stream.
8. Set priorities with the operational logistic section on the movement of finished products for timely shipment.
9. Coordinate shipment arrangement with EDL counterpart or customers.
Strategic planning to minimize special premium cost (e.g. change of ship mode or service level) to support
situation requirement.
10. Work on special freight claims and OT (overtime) claims due to customer short lead-time pull-in request.
11. Prepare reports e.g. Delivery Performance, Attainment report etc. as and when needed.
12. Support activities related to Bosch Production System (BPS), e.g. Pull System, Leveling and EPEI for
continuous improvement.
13. Execute production planning by using Procon Planning Tool.
14. Strong expertise in planning and initiate or support Automation report i.e Power BI dashboard, RPA etc for
process efficiency and effectiveness.
15. Work together and support each other within LOG. Support and work towards achieving the departmental
goal.
16. Perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
17. Mentor and guide junior planners as and when needed.
18. Senior Planners lead and coordinate cross-functional problem-solving efforts to address operational issues
and maintain on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
19. Escalate customer order fulfillment issues that affect a single Value Stream (Level 1).
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
3+ years of experience in order management, production planning, supply chain, or related functions.
Exposure to manufacturing operations and planning processes is an advantage.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
Excellent analytical, data management, and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and continuous improvement mindset.

Robert Bosch Semiconductor Manufacturing Penang Sdn. Bhd. Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.
