Job summary

BOSCH HOME COMFORT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a production/process engineer to help achieve targets for quality, safety and productivity within its manufacturing operations in Malaysia.

The role focuses on developing process control charts, SOPs, and BAAN ERP-aligned processes to support throughput and continuous improvement across sites. The successful candidate will analyze data, create OEE dashboards, contribute during quality audits, and promote safety, discipline and housekeeping

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering from a recognized institution.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, data analysis, problem solving method, lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing/process engineering experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process control charts and work instructions to meet manufacturing quality requirements.
• Ensure work instructions, SOPs and BAAN ERP relevant process are available and implemented throughput production activities.
• Analyze manufacturing data and develop dashboards for OEE, downtime, scrap, and process performance monitoring.
• Coordinate personnel support during internal and external quality system audits.
• Promote safety awareness ZAP, discipline and housekeeping standards across the workplace.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Support Industry 4.0 initiatives including IoT, machine connectivity, data analytics, and digital manufacturing.
• Support implementation and optimization of MES, SCADA, PLC, and automated production systems.
• Lead and develop production teams to achieve productivity, quality and safety goals.
• Ensure cybersecurity awareness and compliance for connected manufacturing systems.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve safety awareness and eliminate workplace hazards.

Robert Bosch Semiconductor Manufacturing Penang Sdn. Bhd. Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.
