Job summary

Gallagher Re is seeking a dynamic Specialist – Placement Support, Claims, and Pro Rata, based in Labuan or Kuala Lumpur, to support regional clients with cover notes, debit notes, statements of account and claims processing for reinsurance treaty business.

You will actively service accounts, analyze treaty documentation for contractual compliance, and assist with renewal information and client communications, aligned with regulatory policies and company standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; insurance or reinsurance preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Actively service accounts to a high standard and within deadlines.
• Analyze technical treaty documentation and ensure contractual compliance.
• Receive and action client’s cash call instructions promptly and communicate to obtain agreement.
• Analyze claims/treaty docs and assist in preparation for clients and queries.
• Process and monitor client figures into Open Twins per KPIs and conditions.
• Collaborate with Broking Support to prepare treaty cover notes and debit notes.
• Assist renewal information, statistics and technical advice as required.
• Manage queries from clients and reinsurers; escalate as needed for timely resolution.
• Maintain relationships with clients, third parties and reinsurers; liaise with management.
• Ensure documents are stored on E-filing and Open Twins with proper attachments.
• Support Accounting and Settlement to handle client monies securely.

Overview

Gallagher Re is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our APAC Operations Team as a Specialist – Placement Support, Claims, and Pro Rata, based in Labuan or Kuala Lumpur. The role supports regional clients by processing cover notes, debit notes, statements of account, and claims for reinsurance treaty business.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Actively service accounts to a high standard and within deadlines.


• Analyze technical treaty documentation and ensure compliance with contractual conditions.


• Receive and action client’s cash call instructions in a timely manner and communicate pertinent information as necessary to obtain prompt agreement.


• Analyze all technical claims/treaty documentation received from clients ensuring compliance with contractual conditions and where necessary assist with the preparation of these documents for / with the client, resolving any queries where appropriate.


• Processing and monitoring of Client figures into our Open Twins system in line with specified key performance indicators and contractual conditions.


• Collaborate closely with the Broking Support Team to prepare treaty cover notes and debit notes.


• Assisting our Broking Support Team with providing renewal information, statistics and any technical advice as required.


• Manage and resolve queries from clients and reinsurers, seeking assistance as required ensuring escalation where necessary and resolution with minimum delay.


• Build, develop and maintain strong client, third party and reinsurer relationships with assigned portfolio, liaising closely with Client Service Manager and/or Operations Director along with our Overseas offices as necessary.


• Ensure internal client and market correspondence is stored on E-filing and necessary documents attached to Open Twins.


• Support Accounting and Settlement associates to ensure that all financial aspects are handled in a timely manner for the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client monies.


• Adhere to standard Group policies and procedures and other regulatory requirements.

About You

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance or a related field.


• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; insurance or reinsurance experience is preferred.


• Proficient in MS Office suite.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all organisational levels and with business partners.


• Attention to detail.


• Ability to organise and prioritise.


• Ability to work in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow.


• Eligible to work in Malaysia.
