Regent International School in Malaysia seeks an enthusiastic Physics teacher to deliver engaging lessons aligned with international curricula. You will plan, prepare, and conduct experiments, assess progress, and communicate with parents to support student learning.
The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or related discipline, a teaching qualification, and experience with Cambridge/IGCSE/A-Level curricula or international schools. Strong English and collaborative spirit are essential.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Physics lessons that encourage students to participate actively and develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, practical activities, and laboratory experiments aligned with the relevant Physics curriculum.
Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and educational technologies to accommodate students with different abilities and learning styles.
Teach key Physics topics such as mechanics, forces and motion, energy, electricity, waves, thermal physics, magnetism, and other relevant areas of the curriculum.
Conduct practical experiments and laboratory activities that develop students’ scientific investigation, problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Assess and monitor students’ academic progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, examinations, practical work, and classroom observations.
Provide constructive and individualised feedback to help students identify areas for improvement and achieve their academic goals.
Establish a positive, well‑organised, and respectful classroom environment that promotes effective learning and positive behaviour.
Provide additional academic support and guidance to students who require assistance with Physics concepts and examination preparation.
Maintain accurate lesson records, assessment results, student progress reports, and other relevant teaching documentation.
Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic progress, learning needs, behaviour, and overall development.
Collaborate with colleagues and school management to support students’ academic and personal development.
Ensure that laboratory activities are conducted safely and that students follow appropriate health and safety procedures.
Participate actively in school activities, educational programmes, staff meetings, science-related events, and co‑curricular activities.
Promote students’ curiosity, scientific thinking, confidence, discipline, safety, and overall well‑being throughout the school day.
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Education (Physics), Science Education, or a related discipline, together with a recognised teaching qualification where applicable.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Physics effectively at primary and/or secondary level, depending on the school’s curriculum.
Experience teaching Cambridge, IGCSE, A-Level, or other international Physics curricula will be an advantage.
Prior teaching experience in an international, private, or secondary school environment is preferred.
Experienced teachers with a strong academic background in Physics and a genuine passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
