Job summary

Experian is seeking a seasoned software developer in Kuala Lumpur to design, build, and support backend systems and RESTful APIs. You will work on integration tasks, database design, and ensure solutions adhere to established standards within a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on PHP/MySQL development, C#/.NET exposure, and familiarity with AWS. Experience with CodeIgniter, MVC, and CI/CD tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of software development, system design and application support.
• Strong backend development with PHP and MySQL; knowledge of C#/.NET preferred.
• Hands-on RESTful API design and integration using XML/JSON.
• Familiarity with AWS services and MVC architecture.
• Experience with CodeIgniter, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Knowledge of Agile, SCRUM, SDLC and software design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in research, design, development, integration, testing and deployment of software applications.
• Design, develop and support RESTful APIs and system integration.
• Conduct technical analysis and design of application modules and databases.
• Ensure modules comply with architecture standards, coding standards and quality requirements.
• Participate in client meetings, requirement gathering and solution reviews.
• Report to Head of Software Development.

What you'll be doing

• You will participate in the research, design, development, integration, testing and deployment of software application.

What you'll bring to the team

• Must possess a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. Seniority will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development, system design and application support.
• Strong proficiency in back-end development using PHP and MySQL. Knowledge or experience in C# and .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, documenting, testing and supporting RESTful APIs using XML/JSON.
• Familiarity with AWS services is also required.
• Experience with CodeIgniter, and MVC architecture
• Good understanding of Agile, SCRUM, SDLC and software design concepts.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
