Job summary

Experian Asia Pacific is hiring an experienced IT Product Engineer to drive full SDLC and support system users. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and positive change in processes.

You will participate in designing, developing, testing and deploying software, building RESTful APIs, and integrating with various systems while reporting to the Head of software development in a hybrid workplace.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years in software development, system design, and support.
• Strong front-end tech: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular.
• Back-end: PHP and MySQL; knowledge of C#/.NET is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end SDLC: research, design, development, integration, testing, deployment.
• Design, develop and support RESTful APIs and system integration.
• Analyze/design application modules and databases.
• Ensure modules meet architecture, coding and quality standards.
• Engage in client meetings, requirements gathering and technical workshops.
• Report to the Head of Software Development.
• Operate in a Hybrid workplace environment.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, passionate IT Product Engineer to be involved in full Systems Development Life Cycle and provide support to the system users.

We require individuals who are strong believers in continuous improvement and are constantly driven to bring about positive change to processes

What You'll Be Doing

• Participate in the research, design, development, integration, testing and deployment of software application.
• Design, develop and support RESTful APIs and system integration.
• Conducts technical analysis and design of application module & database.
• Ensure developed modules comply with established architecture standards, coding standards and quality requirement.
• Participate in client meetings, requirement gathering sessions, solution reviews and technical workshops to support project delivery and system integration.
• This role will be reporting to the Head of software development.
• Hybrid workplace environment.

Qualifications

What you'll bring to the team

• Must possess a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. Seniority will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development, system design and application support.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery and Angular.
• Strong proficiency in back-end development using PHP and MySQL. Knowledge or experience in C# and .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, documenting, testing and supporting RESTful APIs using XML/JSON.
• Familiarity with AWS services is also required.
• Experience with CodeIgniter, and MVC architecture
• Good understanding of Agile, SCRUM, SDLC and software design concepts.
• Experience working with Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI / CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Checkmarx.
• Understanding security principles & best practices (e.g., OWASP Top Ten) in web application development.
