Job summary

Experian Marketing Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is hiring a software engineer to participate in the end-to-end development and integration of software applications. You will design, develop and support RESTful APIs, working on backend systems with PHP and MySQL, and be involved in client meetings to support project delivery.

The role reports to the Head of software development and requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. Seniority will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development, system design and application support.
• Strong proficiency in back-end development using PHP and MySQL. Knowledge or experience in C# and .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, documenting, testing and supporting RESTful APIs using XML/JSON.
• Familiarity with AWS services is also required.
• Experience with CodeIgniter, and MVC architecture
• Good understanding of Agile, SCRUM, SDLC and software design concepts.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Participate in the research, design, development, integration, testing and deployment of software application.
• Design, develop and support RESTful APIs and system integration.
• Conduct technical analysis and design of application module & database.
• Ensure developed modules comply with established architecture standards, coding standards and quality requirement.
• Participate in client meetings, requirement gathering sessions, solution reviews and technical workshops to support project delivery and system integration.
• Report to the Head of software development.
