Job summary

Columbia Asia Extended Care Hospital Shah Alam is seeking an Assistant Pharmacist to support the Pharmacy Manager in daily operations. You will assist in dispensing, supervising technicians, and ensuring accuracy in medication handling and documentation.

Your duties include screening prescriptions, entering orders, labeling, and communicating clearly with patients and the clinical team to maintain safe and effective medication use.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or a certificate/license issued by the Ministry of Health.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of drug names and pharmacy math.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day supervision of pharmacy technicians.
• Screen incoming prescriptions.
• Enter medication orders accurately into the dispensing software.
• Fill prescriptions according to doctors' directions.
• Maintain dispensing records and ensure proper labeling with patient details.
• Provide clear instructions to outpatients and discharged patients.
