The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Pharmacy or MOH license, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and has 2–3 years of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or MOH license/certificate.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a private hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacy Manager in smooth operation of the department.
• Assist in dispensing and distribution of drugs.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of pharmacy assistants.
• Screen incoming prescriptions and ensure accurate entry into the dispensing program.
• Fill prescriptions as directed and maintain accurate dispensing records.
• Label medications with correct details and perform second-checks.
• Adhere to policies for dispensing medicines, including controlled drugs.
• Ensure correct medication and dosage are provided and instructions understood.
• Provide clear instructions to outpatients and discharged patients.
• Compound preparations as required by nursing units.
• Dispatch drugs to nursing units with proper care and security.
• Liaise with clinical team regarding medication for patients.
• Record requisitions accurately and manage storage conditions.
• Prepare purchase orders, process invoices, and update pricing.
• Prepare reports on medication utilization, billing and inventory.
• Maintain dispensary cleanliness and equipment.
• Ensure safe storage of returned and out-of-date medications.
• Provide orientation and training of new Pharmacy staff.
• Communicate effectively with the dispensing team for patient information exchange.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
