Job summary

About the role

Bloomsbury Pharmacy Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist Assistant to join our pharmacy team in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. As a Pharmacist Assistant, you will be instrumental in delivering excellent patient care, maintaining pharmacy operations, and upholding the highest standards of pharmaceutical practice. What you'll be doing

Assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations

Receiving and processing prescription requests from patients and healthcare providers

Managing inventory, stock rotation, and pharmaceutical supplies to ensure adequate availability of medicines

Operating pharmacy systems and equipment, including cash registers and dispensing technology

Providing excellent customer service to patients, answering general enquiries and directing complex questions to the pharmacist

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy workspace

Supporting administrative tasks such as record-keeping, filing, and data entry

Assisting with the labelling and packaging of medications according to established protocols

Collaborating with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to support patient safety and medication therapy

Adhering to all relevant pharmaceutical, health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

A qualification as a Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or equivalent certification recognised by the relevant Malaysian pharmaceutical authorities

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medications, and their appropriate use

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all pharmacy tasks, particularly in medication dispensing

Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and computer software

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare staff

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations

Strong organisational and time management abilities

The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also taking initiative independently

A professional demeanour and dedication to providing high-quality patient care

Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable

Fluency in English and Malay, both written and spoken. Fluency in Chinese language is an added advantage.
