Job summary

Kotra Pharma (M) Sdn. Bhd. (KPM) is seeking a Learning & Development professional to design and implement comprehensive training for the sales team and managers. You will conduct orientation, assess needs through surveys, and plan annual programs within budget.

Responsibilities include developing functional and behavioural training, ensuring SOP compliance, monitoring effectiveness, and supporting succession planning with competency development.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Science or Economics/Business/Marketing.
• 3–5 years’ good track record in sales of pharmaceutical products with knowledge of GP, pharmacy, hospital, OTC markets.
• 3 years’ experience in Training & Development; sales/marketing experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; good analytical skills.
• Computer literate with MS Office; AI/LMS knowledge a plus.
• Independent, result-oriented team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Strategic problem solving and business development mindset.
• Decisive mindset with sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Develop training and development plan for the sales team and managers.
• Conduct orientation sessions and on-the-job training for new hires.
• Identify training needs via surveys and management input.
• Plan annual training budgets and programs for all levels.
• Design programs to raise selling skills and competencies.
• Ensure employees are knowledgeable on tasks; include SOPs and external workshops.
• Monitor training effectiveness for continuous improvement.
• Support succession planning with competencies development.
• Implement SOPs and tools for field force to improve sales effectiveness.
• Champion team building to boost belonging and teamwork.
• Train managers for international markets and adapt modules for international markets.
