Job summary

PEST SCIENCES (KL) SDN BHD is seeking a Pest Control Specialist in Selangor to deliver high standards of pest management for residential, commercial and industrial properties. This full-time role is based in Selangor, with responsibilities to inspect sites, apply approved treatments and maintain comprehensive records.

You will prepare detailed reports for clients, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and on-going pest prevention guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of pest control experience.
• Certification as Pest Control Technician or PAL/APAL licence as required by local regulations.
• Biologist or Entomologist degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential, commercial and industrial properties to identify pest infestations and entry points.
• Apply pesticides and other treatments using approved methods and equipment.
• Set and monitor traps, baits and other control devices.
• Prepare pest inspection reports for food safety premises and customers.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments, chemicals used, and interactions.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and disposal of hazardous materials.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pest Control Specialist to join the team at PEST SCIENCES (KL) SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in protecting our clients' properties and health by implementing effective pest management solutions. As a Pest Control Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery, ensuring that all pest control treatments are executed to the highest standards and in compliance with industry regulations. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction in the pest control industry.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting thorough inspections of residential, commercial and industrial properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points
• Applying pesticides and other pest control treatments safely and effectively using approved methods and equipment
• Setting and monitoring traps, baits and other pest control devices
• Providing customers with detailed reports on pest control activities, findings and recommendations for preventative measures
• To prepare reports (Analysis report / Pest Inspection report) for food safety standard premises.
• Maintaining accurate records of all treatments, chemicals used and customer interactions
• Operating and maintaining pest control equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Responding to customer enquiries and scheduling follow-up treatments as needed
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to address challenging pest control situations
• Educating customers on pest prevention and the importance of regular treatment programme
• To provide pest awareness training to customer and technical training to pest control technical team

What we're looking for

• A well dedicated and well disciplinary candidate
• A valid Pest Control Technician certification or PAL /APAL licence as required by local regulations or minimum SPM level
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pest control services or a related field
• Candidate who graduated as Biologist or Entomologist will have added advantages
• Comprehensive knowledge of common pests, their behaviour, life cycles and effective control methods
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations governing the use of pesticides and chemicals
• Proficiency in using pest control equipment, tools and technology
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments and weather conditions (Individual who willing to work overtime at night especially during weekend and public holiday and Individual who can work independently)
• A valid driving licence (D & GDL) for travel to client sites
• Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping abilities
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different pest control scenarios
• A commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible chemical use (preferred)
