Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, a leading bank in Asia, is seeking a Personal Banker in Kuala Lumpur to build and maintain relationships with individual clients, provide financial advice, and sell a range of banking products.

You will identify client needs, propose deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, and insurance; process transactions accurately; comply with AML/KYC; and strive to meet sales targets while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a sales or customer service role within the banking or financial services industry, preferably as a Personal Banker.
• Strong understanding of retail banking products and services (e.g., deposits, loans, credit cards, investments, insurance).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Demonstrated sales acumen and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to analyze customer financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong ethical conduct and commitment to compliance with banking regulations.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage.
