Job summary

RHB Bank Berhad in Penang is seeking a Sales Consultant in Personal Finance to acquire new customers and manage existing relationships by promoting a wide range of retail banking products and services. You will strive to meet sales targets while delivering excellent service.

The role requires strong communication, financial needs analysis, and the ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment. Bahasa Malaysia and English fluency are preferred, and a Diploma or degree is commonly required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of personal finance products including loans, credit cards, deposits, and insurance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken) is essential.
• Valid driving license and own transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and acquire new customers for personal finance products such as loans, credit cards, deposits, and investment solutions.
• Conduct financial needs analysis for clients, providing tailored advice and recommending suitable RHB products and services.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
• Achieve and exceed assigned individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare and process loan applications, account opening forms, and other related documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to personal finance products.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge to effectively position RHB's offerings.
• Participate in sales campaigns, roadshows, and other promotional activities to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service at all touchpoints.
• Collaborate with other departments and branches to ensure seamless customer experience and service delivery.
