Job summary

Skill Quotient is seeking an experienced Performance Tester in Malaysia to lead performance testing across web apps, APIs and enterprise systems. The role focuses on identifying bottlenecks, ensuring stability under varying workloads, and delivering actionable performance insights.

The candidate will design and execute test scripts, monitor system performance with APM tools, and collaborate with development, Infra, DB, and QA teams to optimize applications and meet defined SLAs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in performance testing.
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner, including scripting, scenario design, test execution and result analysis.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as SiteScope, Dynatrace, PerfMon or equivalent tools
• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts for web applications, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of load, stress, endurance and spike testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts for web apps, APIs, and enterprise apps.
• Perform Load Testing, Stress Testing, Spike Testing, Endurance Testing, and Volume Testing.
• Develop and maintain performance test scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Analyze response times, throughput, server utilization, CPU, memory, and DB performance.
• Identify bottlenecks and perform root-cause analysis to improve performance.
• Conduct API performance testing and validate behavior under concurrent loads.
• Collaborate with dev, infra, DB, and QA to resolve performance issues.
• Monitor performance using APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana).
• Prepare test plans, strategies, execution reports, and recommendations.
• Establish performance benchmarks, SLAs, and non-functional testing standards.
• Support testing during SIT, UAT, pre-prod and prod readiness.
