Job summary

Pave Bank is building a global People function to scale a fast-growing fintech. You will lead end-to-end recruitment, payroll, and people operations across multiple geographies.

The role requires strong experience building People functions from 0 to 1, delivering scalable processes, and partnering with leadership to design effective organizational structures.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in People/HR with recruitment, operations and generalist responsibilities
• Proven experience building People functions, processes and policies from 0 to 1 in a startup or high-growth scale-up
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and hiring across geographies
• Fluency in global hiring practices and international talent markets
• Strong understanding of Singapore and Malaysia Employment Acts; exposure to other international employment frameworks is a plus
• Hands-on payroll experience and multi-country compliance

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruitment across all functions (sourcing to offer)
• Partner with hiring managers and leadership on hiring strategy and workforce planning
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines
• Ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate experience
• Oversee day-to-day People operations across the full employee lifecycle
• Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain employee records, contracts, and People systems
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations
• Develop, implement, and refine People policies and processes from scratch
• Serve as internal governance reference for best practices
• Act as a trusted point of contact for employee matters
• Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion
• Drive engagement initiatives and support a healthy culture
• Work with leadership as a strategic People partner
• Support organisational design, performance management, and scaling initiatives
• Provide insights and recommendations on people-related decisions
• Provide ad hoc support to leadership (scheduling, coordination, follow-ups)

What You'll Do:

Talent Acquisition

• Own end-to-end recruitment across all functions (sourcing to offer)

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in People / HR, with strong exposure to recruitment, operations, and generalist responsibilities

• Proven experience building People functions, processes, and policies from 0 to 1 in a startup or high-growth scale-up environment

• Strong experience working in globally distributed teams and hiring across multiple geographies

• Demonstrated fluency in global hiring practices and international talent markets

• Strong understanding of Singapore and Malaysia Employment Act; exposure to additional international employment frameworks is a plus

• Hands‑on experience managing payroll and ensuring multi‑country compliance

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse, international teams

• Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution

Nice to Have

• Experience managing regional or multi‑country People operations

• Prior experience in fast-scaling startups or venture-backed scale-ups

• Familiarity with modern People systems and tools such as Ashby and Revolut People

• Prior experience working closely with founders or senior leadership in a high‑growth environment

• Strong exposure to building or scaling hiring engines for global teams (EMEA, APAC, US coverage)
