Job summary

Aramex (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Branch Manager to lead the commercial and operational performance of the Penang branch, owning revenue growth, profitability, customer development, and service excellence.

You will develop growth strategies, build strong customer and partner relationships, lead a high-performing team, and ensure sustainable business performance with full P&L accountability for the Northern Region's freight forwarding and logistics activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in branch management or commercial leadership within freight forwarding/logistics.
• Proven track record in business development, revenue growth, and account management.
• Experience with full P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, pricing, and stakeholder management.
• Effective leadership, people development, analytical and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the branch's business development strategy to achieve revenue and profit targets.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across freight forwarding, transport, warehousing and supply chain solutions.
• Expand existing customer relationships and drive account growth through cross-selling and value-added solutions.
• Manage RFQs, tenders, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activities to strengthen market position.
• Take full ownership of branch performance, including revenue, profitability, budgets and KPIs.
• Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with growth objectives.
• Drive margin improvement through pricing, cost management and operational efficiencies.
• Provide accurate reporting on branch financial and commercial performance to management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop branch staff to build a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
• Promote accountability, continuous improvement, safety and compliance across the branch.
• Represent Aramex in customer meetings, industry events and commercial engagements.
