Job summary

Tiny Laundries Sdn Bhd is seeking a reliable van driver to manage daily delivery and collection of laundry items from customers and outlets. Based at the laundry facility, you will travel to client locations, operate on a defined route, and ensure accurate logging of deliveries.

The role requires strong time management and customer service skills, with occasional weekend/holiday work as needed. You will maintain vehicle condition and uphold safety standards while delivering a professional

Qualifications

• Valid Malaysian driving license (Class GDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience in van delivery or similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cleaned laundry items to customers and collect soiled items according to route schedule.
• Ensure delivery items match delivery orders or invoices.
• Assist loading/unloading at locations and handover to PIC at outlets/factories.
• Count soiled laundry received and update delivery logs daily.
• Submit proof of delivery for all locations daily.
• Support operations during non-driving hours.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
• Comply with road safety regulations and keep vehicle documents up to date.
• Maintain professionalism and provide friendly service during interactions with customers.
• Complete delivery logs, invoices, and required documentation accurately.
• Inform supervisor of delays, issues, or challenges; keep records secure.

Job Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

Delivery and Collection

• Deliver cleaned laundry items to customers and collect soiled laundry according to the assigned route schedule.
• Ensure all delivery items match the delivery order or invoice.

Daily Operations

• Assist in loading and unloading laundry items at all locations and ensure proper handover to the PIC at the Laundry Outlet/Factory.
• Responsible for counting soiled laundry received from customers and updating the delivery log accordingly.
• Responsible for submitting proof of delivery for all locations on a daily basis.
• Support the operations team during non-driving hours when required.

Vehicle Maintenance

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition (e.g., tyre pressure, oil levels, and overall cleanliness).
• Possess basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Report any mechanical issues or required repairs to the supervisor promptly.

Compliance and Safety

• Comply with all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
• Maintain a valid GDL licence and ensure all vehicle-related documents (e.g., insurance and road tax) are kept up to date.
• Safeguard laundry items during transportation to prevent damage or loss.

Customer Interaction

• Maintain professionalism and provide friendly service when dealing with customers.
• Communicate effectively to address inquiries or resolve minor issues during deliveries.

Documentation and Reporting

• Complete delivery logs, invoices, and other required documentation accurately.
• Ensure all delivery orders are completed with the required signatures and staff IDs.
• Inform the supervisor of any route delays, customer issues, or operational challenges.
• Keep all delivery orders and related documentation secure at all times.

Ad-Hoc Duties

• Required to carry out any duties assigned by management as and when necessary.

Working Environment

Based at the laundry facility with frequent travel to customer locations. Working hours may include weekends and public holidays, depending on operational requirements.

Job Requirements

• Valid Malaysian driving license (Class GDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role.
• Familiarity with Petaling Jaya and surrounding Selangor areas for efficient route planning and navigation.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance (e.g., tire pressure, oil levels, cleanliness).
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of laundry items.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during collections and drop-offs.
• Physical ability to load and unload laundry bags, which may be heavy.
• Understanding of basic logistics principles to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.
