Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital invites applications for a Child & Family Psychologist to conduct structured pediatric neurodevelopmental assessments, with emphasis on ABA-based frameworks, and to prepare comprehensive reports for Clinical Psychologist review.

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, collect developmental histories and caregiver interviews, deliver family psychoeducation, and ensure ethical practice, confidentiality, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant allied health or behavioural science field.
• Experience with pediatric assessments is desirable.
• Familiarity with ethical guidelines and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive child and family psychological assessments covering behavioural, emotional, adaptive, and functional domains.
• Administer ABA-based and multidisciplinary assessment tools.
• Collect developmental history, caregiver interviews, behavioural observations, and standardised data.
• Participate in multidisciplinary assessments with Clinical Psychologists, OTs, STs, and EI teams.
• Identify child strengths, needs, and family priorities for intervention planning.
• Prepare clear, structured psychological and behavioural assessment reports.
• Submit reports for Clinical Psychologist review and revise based on feedback.
• Provide family feedback and psychoeducation under Clinical Psychologist guidance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend meetings, case conferences, and supervision.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines, confidentiality, consent, and professional boundaries.
• Escalate complex clinical, ethical, or safeguarding issues and report incidents appropriately.
• Support EI team operations, workflows, scheduling, and case allocation as assigned.
• Maintain punctuality, manage caseloads, complete documentation on time, and ensure proper handovers.
• Engage in supervision, CPD, training, and periodic competency evaluations to support service quality

Education

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant allied health or behavioural science discipline
