Job summary

Brooks Laboratory Automation Solutions, a leader in automation for the semiconductor sector, seeks an experienced Electrical PCB Layout Engineer to join our Johor Pasir Gudang team onsite. You will design, verify, and document PCB layouts for system controllers, collaborating with mechanical and software engineers to deliver robust automation solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on PCB layout experience, strong Altium Designer skills, and familiarities with IPC-2221/IPC-7351.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of hands-on PCB layout experience.
Experience with Altium Designer and Gerber viewing tools.
Familiarity with IPC standards IPC-2221 and IPC-7351.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
Interpret schematics and convert them into manufacturable PCB designs.
Develop multilayer PCB designs considering signal integrity, power integrity, thermal management, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability.
Generate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, Gerber files and manufacturing documentation.
Define and maintain PCB layer stack-ups with PCB fabrication vendors.
Perform DRC checks and ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and software engineers on complete product solutions.
Support prototypes, design reviews, ECOs, and vendor interfacing.
