Job summary

EY is seeking a Payroll Associate/Senior Associate in Malaysia to deliver accurate monthly payroll and ensure statutory compliance. You will work with clients and internal teams, maintaining confidentiality and supporting payroll operations across the business.

You will demonstrate independence, strong numeracy, and the ability to manage deadlines while upholding high professional standards in a dynamic tax and advisory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of local payroll or HR experience.
• Understanding of payroll or related finance activities.
• Detail oriented with strong numeric skills and ability to work independently in a fast pace environment.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly payroll in accordance with Malaysia statutory requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection, calculation and submission of monthly payroll data.
• Maintain confidentiality of client relationships and work products; respond to queries from clients and internal stakeholders promptly.
• Ensure payroll process documentation is current and used consistently.
• Take ownership of tasks while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
