Job summary

Ryt Bank is seeking a Payments Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day processing for Business & Retail Banking customers. You will verify and reconcile transactions, manage cut-offs, and handle escalations while maintaining strong risk controls. A 1–3 year background in banking operations is preferred.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and collaboration with internal teams and external providers to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in banking operations or payment operations.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify business banking payment transactions.
• Handle RPP payments, fund transfers, GIRO and RENTAS instructions.
• Ensure payments are processed within cut-off times and SLAs.
• Perform maker/checker activities and transaction verification when required.
• Monitor payment queues and follow up on pending, rejected, or incomplete transactions.
• Investigate rejected, returned, failed, or delayed payments and take corrective action.
• Liaise with internal teams and payment providers to resolve issues.
• Perform daily reconciliation of payment transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Escalate operational risks and control gaps.
• Support Relationship Managers and other stakeholders on payment matters.
