Job summary

Ryt Bank in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Operations professional to manage day-to-day business and retail banking payment activities. You will ensure accurate processing, timely verifications, and robust reconciliation while upholding risk controls.

Responsibilities include handling RPP, GIRO, RENTAS payments, maker/checker routines, and proactive issue resolution. Strong communication with internal teams and service providers is essential for timely updates and SLA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant banking operations experience.
• Basic knowledge of payment processing and settlement.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and timeliness.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify business banking payment transactions.
• Handle RPP payments, fund transfers, GIRO and RENTAS instructions.
• Ensure payments meet cut-off times and SLAs.
• Perform maker/checker activities and transaction verification.
• Monitor queues and follow up on pending or rejected payments.
• Investigate rejected or delayed payments and take corrective action.
• Escalate complex cases to Senior Officer or Team Lead.
• Conduct daily reconciliation and document supporting records.
• Maintain internal controls and segregation of duties across processes.
• Support other internal stakeholders on payment-related matters.
