Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of proven Pattern Maker experience in garment manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production techniques.
• Diploma or certification in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or Pattern Making preferred.
• Experience with pattern grading and marker making to reduce waste is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced Pattern Maker to join TERAPATIH on a full-time basis at our facility in Setia Alam, Selangor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and refining patterns that form the foundation of our garment production process. As a Pattern Maker, you will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into technical patterns that ensure consistent quality, fit, and production efficiency across all our garment lines. This position is essential to our manufacturing operations, directly impacting product quality and our ability to meet customer specifications and delivery timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Create and develop accurate patterns for various garment types using pattern-making software and traditional methods
• Analyse design sketches and specifications to produce precise technical patterns that meet quality standards
• Conduct pattern grading to ensure consistency across different sizes and fit specifications
• Perform pattern testing and sampling to validate fit, comfort, and production feasibility
• Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve fit issues and implement design modifications
• Maintain detailed pattern documentation and records for traceability and future reference
• Optimise fabric utilisation and layout efficiency to minimise waste during cutting operations
• Train and mentor junior pattern makers and production staff on pattern specifications and techniques
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging pattern-making technologies and methodologies
• Ensure all patterns comply with company standards, customer requirements, and relevant regulations

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Pattern Maker in garment manufacturing or fashion production
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and production techniques across multiple garment categories
• Excellent technical drawing and measurement skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to grade patterns accurately across a range of sizes whilst maintaining garment integrity
• Experience in pattern optimisation and marker making to reduce fabric waste
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to troubleshoot fit and production issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of quality control standards and garment specifications
• Diploma or certification in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or Pattern Making is preferred
• Experience with international garment standards and compliance requirements is a plus
