Job summary

Pusat Tuisyen Teratai Gemilang (Sim Selayang) in Malaysia is seeking an enthusiastic tutor to support primary school students with daily homework, spelling, and dictation, ensuring completion of activities and strong study habits.

You will teach core subjects—Chinese, English, Bahasa Melayu, Math, Science—and History, monitor progress, provide remedial help, maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, and report regularly to the Principal on student development and concerns.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum SPM / STPM / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree (Fresh graduates and experienced candidates are both welcome to apply).
• Language Proficiency: Trilingual Mandarin, English, Bahasa Melayu are required.
• Personal Attributes: Passionate about education, patient, caring, responsible, and good at communicating with primary school children.
• Experience: Prior experience in primary school tutoring or daycare is an added advantage (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Daily Homework & Academic Guidance: Check students' school bags and spelling/dictation books; guide and ensure completion of daily school homework and activity books.
• Subject Teaching: Teach and conduct revision for primary school subjects, including the 5 core subjects (Chinese, English, Malay, Math, Science) and History (Sejarah).
• Learning Progress Tracking: Mark student worksheets/exercises, provide remedial help for weaker areas, and prepare students for school assessments.
• Classroom Management: Maintain classroom order and create a positive, conducive learning environment.
• Internal Reporting: Regularly update the Principal on student progress, daily behavior, and special concerns, allowing coordination with parents.
