Job summary

Ria Money Transfer in Malaysia is looking for a friendly Cashier to join Retail Operations, handling frontline transactions, inquiries, and daily records in line with company procedures.

You will verify customer information, assist with questions about services, and balance the cash register while supporting bank deposits and transaction logs. Fresh graduates are welcome; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with SPM or above.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Some computer knowledge with MS Word and Excel.
• Cash handling experience is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers face to face to process Ria products such as money transfers and foreign currency.
• Verify or enter customer information on our systems accurately.
• Assist customers with inquiries about services or locations and escalate when needed.
• Balance cash register and prepare cash for bank deposits.
• Maintain daily transaction records and update records as required.
• Stay up to date with Ria’s products, services, and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by colleagues and supervisors.

About This Role

As a Cashier, in Retail Operations, your role will be providing frontline customer service by processing transactions, handling inquiries, ensuring accurate records, and supporting daily operations in compliance with company procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interact with customers face to face to receive and process all of Ria’s products such as money transfers, money orders, selling and buying foreign currency.
• Accurately verify or enter the customer’s information on our systems.
• Courteously assist customers with various inquiries such as questions about our services, service cancellations or other Ria locations.
• Recognize problems, issues or complaints during queries and propose solutions or escalaf to the management team.
• Keep up to date with Ria’s products, services, and policies.
• Balance your cash register and prepare cash for bank deposit.
• Prepare your daily transactions record.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested by your colleagues and superiors.
