Job summary

Carlsberg Malaysia is seeking a Packaging Trainee to join our core Supply Chain operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant packaging of products before they reach customers. You will support daily production activities across the assigned machine and zone, uphold Carlsberg Excellence and COM standards, and contribute to continuous improvements in efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist daily production activities across the assigned machine and zone.
  • Support Carlsberg Excellence implementation at the line.
  • Ensure production runs according to plan; provide coverage as needed.
  • Carry out quality analysis for product before leaving assigned zone.
  • Record documentation and release product between areas.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with HSSE, GMP, and food safety standards.

As a Packaging Trainee, you will be part of the core Supply Chain operations that ensure our products are safely, efficiently, and consistently packaged before reaching customers and consumers. The role is responsible for supporting daily production activities across the assigned machine and zone, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational discipline. You will work closely with production teams to keep lines running smoothly, uphold Carlsberg Excellence (CE) and Carlsberg Operating Manual (COM) standards, and contribute to continuous improvements in efficiency, product quality, and overall equipment performance.

What you'll be doing

To be responsible and accountable to the machine and zone that is being assigned.

Support Carlsberg Excellence implementation at the line.

Ensure production is able to run according to plan. To support coverage when required.

Capable of using basic functions in the SAP system.

Carries out quality analysis for product before leaving assigned zone.

Able to release product between areas and record documentation of it.

Materials management and inventory controller for machine assigned.

Responsible and supportive of time coverage (breaks, replacements, emergencies).

Has understanding and interpretation of Statistical Process Control Charts for Quality and process, able to monitor and make process change recommendations based on results within allowed range.

Active in Performance Management System (PMS) 1 & 2 meeting - Shift handover.

Responsible for all processes within assigned zone.

Can support Team leader in their absence and takes responsibility during late and night shift.

To ensure good understanding of Carlsberg Operating Manual (COM) and ensure assigned area is COM compliant.

Actively works to improve utilities consumptions according to targets.

Responsible for managing compliance to Health, Security, Safety & Environment (HSSE), food safety and hygiene and standards within the area assigned.

Work together as a team to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Complete any task given by Shift Leader or Line Leader.

To complete assigned Clean-Inspect-Lubricate (CIL) with proper documentation.

To highlight and work with Maintenance to resolve issues and potential issues within area.

To support company direction in achieving production target.

Ensures the production and packaging of safe, high quality food product by adhering to quality standards, procedures and Carlsberg Operating Manual (COM) compliance, report when found any abnormalities.

Monitoring production processes, maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with quality control and food safety regulation.

Follow food safety compliance (e.g Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles) to prevent contamination and ensure food safety in product.

Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in any engineering related field.

At least 1 year experience in Manufacturing or Production, preferably in FMCG environment.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Willing to work on flexible patterns of 12 hours or 8 hours shifts.
