Job summary

Hayan Prints (M) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, seeks a meticulous Prepress Specialist to convert customer artwork into print-ready files for packaging production. The role covers prepress, colour management, packaging artwork and die-lines, and coordinating with Sales, Customer Service, QA and Production to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Printing, Prepress, Packaging Design or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in DTP, prepress, graphic design or printing and packaging industry.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat.
• Knowledge of packaging artwork, die-line, colour separation, CMYK, Pantone, trapping and print-ready file preparation.
• Knowledge of Offset, Digital or Flexographic printing is an advantage.
• Experience with Esko ArtPro / Automation Engine is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail, accuracy, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in Mandarin and English are preferred; Mandarin proficiency desired; Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and process customer artwork for printing and packaging production
• Convert artwork into print-ready files and perform prepress checks
• Manage colour separation, colour accuracy and digital proofing
• Prepare and modify packaging layouts, die-lines and artwork according to production requirements
• Check artwork details including dimensions, bleed, fonts, images, barcode, QR code and product information
• Revise artwork according to customer and internal feedback while maintaining proper revision records
• Communicate with Sales, Customer Service, QA and Production regarding artwork and technical requirements
• Support production requirements for special printing and finishing processes
• Ensure artwork meets customer, company and applicable printing standards
• Maintain artwork files, documentation and version control
