Job summary

ABB in Malaysia seeks an experienced Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to lead OT security for ICSS and PMS networks on offshore projects. You will design, implement, and secure 800xA ICSS architectures with redundancy, VLANs, and firewalls, ensuring IEC 62443 compliance and maritime standard alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Engineering.
• Min. 8 years of experience in industrial network engineering and/or OT cybersecurity, with Offshore/marine FPSO exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISA99; familiarity with Oil & Gas cybersecurity specs.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Network & Cybersecurity engineering in assignments.
• Design, implement, and secure 800xA ICSS and PMS network architecture from FEED through FAT, installation and commissioning.
• Develop Cybersecurity Design Specifications in line with IEC 62443; RBAC and patch management across OT infra.
• Deploy OT Intrusion Detection and threat monitoring (e.g., Claroty, Nozomi).
• Ensure compliance with maritime cyber resilience requirements (IACS UR E26/27/22) with classification society coordination.
• Participate in FAT and SAT activities, network validation and cybersecurity verification.
