Job summary

Optimax Eye Specialist in Malaysia is seeking a full-time Optometrist for on-site patient care. You will perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, contact lens fitting, and support pre- and post-operative care for laser refractive surgery patients, collaborating with ophthalmologists.

You will counsel patients on treatment options, document findings accurately, and contribute to patient education and clinical quality initiatives while adhering to protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Optometry with valid professional registration or eligibility to register.
• Experience or strong interest in refractive surgery co-management, including pre-operative evaluations.
• Strong communication and counseling skills to explain findings and options clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team and maintain professional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction and binocular vision testing.
• Conduct contact lens fittings and assess visual acuity and refractive status.
• Support pre- and post-operative care for laser refractive surgery patients.
• Document findings accurately in patient records and maintain charting standards.
• Educate patients on treatment options, lens choices, and post-treatment care.
