Job summary

OasisEye Specialists in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our growing team. You will assist with ophthalmic history taking, eye examinations, and patient-centred care, helping patients see clearly.

Fresh graduates are welcome and training is provided. The role includes clinic hours Mon-Sun with varying times, and opportunities to participate in community outreach and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic ophthalmic history taking, eye examinations, and relevant investigations.
• Support delivery of safe, effective, patient-centred eye care.

• Assist in creating a welcoming patient journey from consultation to follow-up.
• Help manage confidential patient records and keep documentation orderly.

Job Description:

Conduct basic ophthalmic history taking, eye examinations, and relevant ophthalmic investigations.

Support the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred eye care.

Maintain a high standard of clinical practice and professionalism.

Provide compassionate, friendly, and personalised care to every patient.

Help create a welcoming and positive patient journey from consultation to follow-up.

Support an effective patient feedback process and contribute ideas to improve patient experience.

Uphold high standards of patient safety, professional ethics, confidentiality, and clinical care.

Ensure patient information and clinical practices are handled responsibly and professionally.

Accurately manage, organise, and maintain confidential patient records.

Support smooth day-to-day clinical and administrative operations.

Community Outreach

Participate in eye screening programmes, health talks, educational initiatives, and community activities.

Represent the centre professionally while promoting awareness of eye health within the wider community.

Build and maintain positive relationships with GPs, optometrists, corporate clients, healthcare professionals, and other healthcare partners.

Support collaborative initiatives that strengthen our professional network.

Contribute ideas and participate in marketing activities, social media, health campaigns, media communications, and community initiatives.

Support initiatives that increase the centre’s visibility, reach, and engagement.
