Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in wiring assembly or electrical assembly.
• Secondary education or equivalent; technical qualifications/certifications in electrical assembly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses and electrical components according to technical specifications and drawings.
• Perform soldering, crimping, and connection tasks using specialised equipment and hand tools.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure components meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Test completed wiring assemblies for functionality and electrical continuity.
• Maintain accurate production records including quantities produced and defects identified.
• Follow health and safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.

About the role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operator Wiring Assembly to join our manufacturing team at Estek Automation Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Batu Kawan, Penang. As an Operator Wiring Assembly, you will play a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring the precise assembly and wiring of components that are integral to our manufacturing processes. This position is essential to maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency whilst supporting the broader objectives of our logistics and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

Assemble wiring harnesses and electrical components according to technical specifications and assembly drawings

Perform precise soldering, crimping, and connection tasks using specialised equipment and hand tools

Conduct quality inspections of assembled components to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements

Test completed wiring assemblies for functionality and electrical continuity

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced and any defects identified

Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment

Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisory staff promptly

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to assembly processes

What we're looking for

Proven experience in wiring assembly, electrical assembly, or related manufacturing roles

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with assembly tools, soldering equipment, and testing instruments
