Job summary

Kotak Malaysia (KOM) Sdn. Bhd. is recruiting a Production Operator to support daily manufacturing operations.

The role requires setting up machines, following SOPs, and maintaining standby readiness prior to operation. You will conduct first piece and regular quality checks, report issues, and ensure timely task completion in a clean, safe environment. The position emphasizes adherence to safety standards, 5S housekeeping, and collaboration with supervisors to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• SPM/SKM or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards is required.
• Able to perform first piece checking and regular quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and keep standby until operation.
• Follow superior's work instructions and meet standards.
• Ensure procedures are followed and operate according to SOPs.
• Perform first piece checks and ongoing quality checks during production.
• Complete tasks within planning schedule and report irregularities promptly.
• Assist to resolve minor machine issues and escalate when needed.
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations at the workstation and floor.
• Perform 5S housekeeping and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by the superior.

Job description

1. Responsible to setup the machine and ensure the machine at the standby mode before the operation.

2. Responsible to carry out all work instructions given by superior and perform the duties to a satisfactory

standard.

3. Responsible to ensure the works carry out are strictly follow operation procedures.

4. Perform first piece checking and regular quality check on products during operation.

5. Ensure all work instructions complete within the time frame based on planning schedule.

6. Report all irregularly issues to respective superior immediately, and assist to resolve the minor issues on

machine.

7. Responsible to comply safety and environmental regulations and procedures at work station and production

floor.

8. Perform 5S housekeeping and ensure tidiness and cleanliness in the work station and production floor.

9. Undertake other tasks as assigned by the superior as and when required.
